Adding new features to ACCTION — by Clurb.
ACCTION is a platform that helps municipalities predict and respond to environmental risks.
Together with Clurb, we worked on expanding its functionality and improving how complex data is visualized — enabling faster and more confident decisions during crisis situations.
Challenge
Local governments needed a way to better monitor floods, storms, and pollution levels — while operating in high-pressure contexts and with limited time for interpretation.
Our goal was to introduce new analytical modules and improve usability, without disrupting the existing interface logic.
Approach
We focused on creating structure and calm within complexity. The design system was extended with new visual hierarchies, layers, and notification logic. Every addition had to support clarity, allowing operators to instantly grasp the most critical data points.
Key Additions
Flood Monitoring Sensors
real-time data on rainfall and water levels, integrated into the main dashboard.
Weather Forecast Map
short-term prediction layers visualized per region.
Warning Predictions
color-coded alerts with severity tags and automated reports.
Data Layers
ability to overlay infrastructure, schools, hospitals, and vulnerable zones for quick spatial context.
Design Highlights
We refined the UI components and map interactions, keeping a consistent visual rhythm across modules.
Typography, spacing, and color accents were optimized for readability in both analytical and emergency modes. The result: an interface that stays calm and clear, even under stress.
The updated ACCTION interface helps municipalities act sooner and with higher confidence.
By combining data clarity with human-centered interaction design, the platform strengthens local disaster response networks across Latin America.
